The course introduces combinatorial and integer optimization problems, mathematical programming, i.e., a declarative framework for formulating and solving optimization problems, and graph theory & applications. The aim of the course is to show the usefulness of discrete mathematics, and graph theory in particular, for a wide range of applications.
